Code of ethics
Whether you are a team member at Significa or a client working with Significa, we should all rule our behaviour according to these basic ethical principles.
When hiring, we always consider our Hiring criteria to be the basis for choosing the people we want to be part of our team. Whereas, if you are a client, the same principles apply, but this time, following our Client selection criteria.
In either case, basic, common-sense ethics, decency, and goodwill should always be the foundation of the relationship between everyone involved with Significa.
Be inclusive.
We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. We love good people, and we hate discrimination of any form. It's really that simple.
Good people — or good eggs — are from everywhere. They look very different from one another, believe in different religions and politics, love freely, and come in many different shapes and sizes. Each has its own challenges, be they physical or mental. We celebrate good people.
Be considerate.
You need more than eggs to make a great-tasting omelette. We all depend on each other to produce the best work we can – which can only be carried out when we live and act with dignity, honesty and integrity, both with ourselves and towards others. Remember that your decisions will impact colleagues, clients, and our environment.
You must consider those potential consequences when making decisions. Don't overdo it on the salt.
Be equitable and impartial.
We treat everyone fairly, from our Equal opportunities statement and our Career path, where we pay everyone based on their merits and career progressions, to our Billing and invoicing, where we charge all clients equally regardless of their company size, name, or revenue.
We expect an equitable and impartial attitude towards everyone engaged with Significa. Fairness is a fundamental expectation for anyone connected with us.
Be respeggtful.
We won't always agree, and that's part of the creative magic! But don't be a rotten egg.
An environment where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not productive. While it's healthy for us to disagree with one another, it is essential that we resolve our disagreements and differing views constructively and respectfully.
Be good.
Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behaviour are not tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
Threats of violence.
Insubordination.
Discriminatory jokes and language.
Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.
Unwelcome sexual attention.
Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviour.
Turn differences into strengths.
Different people have different perspectives, and that's essential for solving problems and creating new ideas. Being unable to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn't mean they're wrong. Everybody has the right to be their true authentic self, to express their opinion and to be heard.
Don't forget that we all make mistakes, and blaming each other doesn't get us anywhere. Instead, focus on resolving issues and learning from mistakes, considering points 2 and 3 above.
Respect our environment.
Our planet is essential for all of us. A healthier planet will mean a healthier life for all. Please respect our space, recycle when possible and clean up after yourself.

One team.
There ain't no "I” in "team." We all serve the same purpose: to create the best work we possibly can for Significa and our clients.
For us to pull in the same direction and achieve that, we require all to act under the aforementioned principles of goodwill, honesty, and integrity while ensuring we don't act like lone wolves and get ourselves into a pickle with a conflict of interests.
