Developer meetings
Yeah, yeah, we know you hate meetings. But hold up, these are no normal status meetings. The Dev Meets are where we come together to share knowledge, discuss relevant topics, and occasionally indulge in some geek-out sessions for pure enjoyment. It’s all about fostering creativity and problem-solving in a collaborative, engaging environment.
These meetings are open forums for developers to share insights, but without a proactive approach, they can become unproductive. To combat this, we've introduced a wish list of discussion topics that everyone can contribute to. This way, you can either propose a presentation or lead a discussion on a topic that sparks your interest.
Topics can range from new technologies that someone believes would benefit the team to specific code use cases that a developer is tackling or debugging for a project—no topic is off-limits. If you are feeling creative, you can also discuss how we can further contribute to our Open source ongoing projects or suggest a new one entirely.
Many of the tools we currently use were discovered during developer meetings, demonstrating their value for individual knowledge growth and the company as a whole. So — again, for those in the back!!! — if you have a topic you're eager to discuss or explore with your team, reach out, and let's make it happen!
Overall, those who thrive at Significa take the initiative and own their growth. Developer meetings have proven to be valuable spaces for team members to gain confidence, develop presentation skills, and ignite new interests, so we really do encourage you to get involved!
